These are my images from the Kiko Martinez vs Karl Frampton IBF World Super-Bantamweight fight. Held on 6th September 2014 in the shipyard where the Titanic was built and launched in Belfast. Carl is managed by Barry McGuigan and is trained by Barry's son Shane so the interest in this fight in Northern Ireland was immense.

Carl won the fight on points after 12 brutal rounds of boxing. The intensity and pressure surrounding the home favourite is impossible to describe. Barry McGuigan, his long time mentor, had put a lot on the line to bring this fight to Belfast. Had Carl lost, it would have meant the end of his rise and effectively, the end of his career hopes. He didn't lose. He won.

This was all shot on a 35mm analogue film camera.
