The Dreaming is an Australian Aboriginal concept dealing with the dawn or creation of the world. In this system, man is regarded as part of nature and shares a common life force both with animals and mythic beings. This common force stretches from the beginning of time and extends indefinitely into the future. These images are of Aboriginal and settler tools found on a farm in South Eastern Australia. The tree had it's bark removed to make a canoe and like a slice through time, marks the transition between the two belief systems.
